corporate disaster!

Don’t you just love how corporate America has turned some people into robots? Some things that people say and the way they say them baffles me. Case in point this very proper-“I-rolled-around-in-the-corporate-jargon-wagon” gentleman I spoke with that ended the conversation by saying “good morning” in the same monotone he had used throughout the conversation. Just to annoy him I almost said “Good Morning this is ____(insert company name), How may I assist you?” in the same cheery voice I had started that conversation with..

What a tool!

I'm with you on your anti-corporate speak stance. Until yesterday, I didn't realize that it could be so irritating. I had one of the VPs of this office say to me "I just wanted to close the loop with you" when something along the lines of 'I wanted to let you know that it's been handled' would've worked just fine.

I believe that corporate freaks do it to give themselves an air of self importance. I understand if they do it in a meeting(because it's formal) but when they are walking around talking like broken robots making everything sound complicated..then I feel like drop-kicking the fuckers!
